Scholarship Opportunity

The Beaver County Conservation District will honor two past directors, Mr. George (Bud) Pettibon and Mr. Hobart (Hobie) Buttermore, by granting two scholarship stipends of $500.00 each in their names to college students who are in their junior year. This follows the Conservation District’s long tradition of support to students who are concerned with the Conservation of our Natural Resources.

The Conservation District offers these two scholarships to Beaver County students who have successfully completed two years of college and are enrolled in a four year degree program in Environmental Science, with an emphasis on Conservation.

The recipients must be Beaver County, PA residents enrolled in an accredited four year degree program.

The George Pettibon scholarship will be awarded for the spring semester.

The Hobart Buttermore scholarship will be awarded for the fall semester.

Interested students are asked to fill out an application and send it to the Conservation District.
